Northwest African American Museum
This year, we are excited to host the Budget Matters 2019 Policy Summit at the Northwest African American Museum (NAAM). NAAM’s mission is to spread knowledge, understanding, and enjoyment of the histories, arts, and cultures of people of African descent for the enrichment of all. They envision a Pacific Northwest region where the important histories, arts, and cultures of people of African descent are embraced as an essential part of our shared heritage and future.
All tickets to Budget Matters includes full-day access to the museum. The titles of the exhibits showing in October will be announced soon.
The Northwest African American Museum is housed in the historic Colman School building. It’s just 2.3 miles or 10 minutes by car from downtown. Please visit NAAM’s website for more detailed directions.
*Free parking is available in our parking lot, directly outside the museum. Please park in museum parking only (labeled MUSEUM), as there is resident parking in the other spots.
The museum is easy to access via public transportation as well. Please visit King County Metro Trip Planner for directions.
NAAM is ADA accessible. We will do our best to provide additional accommodations (ie: hearing devices, special seating, ASL interpreters, etc.) by request. Please email email@example.com.
